August 13, 2020 – Germinator continues to make its mark in different states across the U.S., as residents are aiming to create clean and more hygienic businesses and homes with the company's innovative process of sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces. The number of positive reviews to date, combined with the high rate at which Germinator's services are being provided, are fueling the company's mission of providing communities with an effective and thorough method of proper sanitizing and disinfecting.

Germinator Makes Its Way Into in Maine, Rhode Island and Oklahoma
With the continued success of the company, more motivated and hard-working individuals are coming aboard and helping to solidify Germinator's vision to provide a more hygienic, sanitary environment for all. Germinator is proud to announce the launch of franchises in three new territories. Germinator Bangor in Maine, Germinator Rhode Island and Germinator Oklahoma City are now officially open to the public. The new franchises will offer a patent-pending process that provides a new generation of microbial protection for residential and commercial establishments.

Germinator started back in 2015 when Jeff Gill, the company's founder and CEO, was in search of a way to create a cleaner environment for the businesses and homes he provided service for with his other business, Sir Grout, a grout and tile restoration company. Now in 2020, amid the pandemic, the public has become far more aware of the need for the highest possible standard of quality cleaning — and what Germinator uses does far more.

The new Germinator franchises that continue to open are truly making an impact on their communities while also helping to spread awareness about the importance of creating and sustaining hygienic environments.

Germinator's patent-pending methodology is the most unique and cost-effective means of providing enhanced antimicrobial protection for businesses and residences. The company first tests surfaces for ATP using a luminometer to detect light that can come from cellular activity. This measurement immediately provides the level of clean on a surface.

The next step is the application of Germinator's Genesis surface treatment. Genesis is a one-step cleaner and broad-spectrum sanitizer and disinfectant treatment that harnesses the power of hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Derived from naturally occurring minerals, Genesis not only eliminates odors at their source but kills a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, Salmonella enterica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and viruses including norovirus, rotavirus and adenovirus on hard, non-porous, environmental surfaces. It meets the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC) germicidal spray standards for Hospital Grade Disinfection and is on the EPA's N List of products determined to meet the criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. As a result, this treatment will eliminate bacteria and viruses that may reside in your environment without the use of harsh chemicals or fumes.

Following Genesis, Germinator applies its Shield, a water-based quaternary ammonium compound that imparts a durable bacteriostatic finish. It is EPA-registered as effective against mold, mildew, algae and odor-causing bacteria. This application creates an invisible barrier that helps combat deterioration and discoloration and promotes freshness for up to three months.

The Genesis and Shield products are applied by using an electrostatic sprayer, which is the most efficient and effective means of delivering the products to the intended application sites.

Germinator uses hypochlorous acid, which is naturally produced by white blood cells, as part of its process
Matt Banoub, founder of a Rhode Island-based weatherization company, has begun operating Germinator's services in his home state.

"The advancement of healthy housing and building science has been my life's work, but 2020 presented new challenges to keeping our indoor environments clean and hygienic," said Banoub. "Germinator Rhode Island utilizes an effective treatment process to sanitize and disinfect your home or business. We are committed to providing the highest quality mobile sanitizing and disinfecting services for residential, commercial and institutional clients in Northern Rhode Island and its surrounding communities."

Pete Philbrick will lead operations for Germinator Bangor, which will service neighborhoods throughout Aroostook County, Hancock County, Kennebec County, Knox County, Penobscot County, Piscataquis County, Somerset County, Waldo County and Washington County. Born and raised in Bangor, Philbrick has always been passionate about serving the people of Maine.

"Maintaining a hygienic environment has always been a priority for me and my family, as my wife works at the hospital in Bangor and our two children are enrolled in the public-school system," said Pete Philbrick. "Owning a Germinator franchise was a natural transition for us and gives us the ability to help ensure that homes and businesses are properly sanitized and disinfected. We are proud to do our part in helping to reduce the threat of germs, bacteria and viruses, while simultaneously helping to keep Maine's economy and tourism moving ahead. Our goal is to create clean and more comfortable environments for visitors and the people of Maine."

The third new franchise, which is located in Oklahoma City, will be owned and operated by Tom Smith. He has accumulated 32 years of experience as a marketing director working with businesses all over the country. He also has an extensive background in the oil and gas industry, managing drilling-related operations as well as having part ownership in an oilfield service company.

"I'm excited to begin working with Germinator to bring a better option to businesses and residents throughout the community," said Smith. "The frequency at which people sanitize and disinfect has significantly increased amid the pandemic. I wanted to provide the community with an effective option that doesn't use harsh chemicals. Unlike many disinfectants, Germinator uses hypochlorous acid (HOCl) as part of its process, which doesn't use harsh chemicals or fumes."
